Abstract
Draft' or 'Literary Draft' is a literary term. It is used in Eastern craft of literary research and editing. It has various kinds, like 'First Draft', 'Second Draft', 'Third Draft', etc. In this article writer describes the true sense of 'Draft' used in Urdu literary research and editing, also the importance of mentioned kinds of 'Draft'. In addition he explains the concept of literary 'Draft' with many examples from Urdu Classic books, like Fasana -i Ajaib and various Urdu Tazkiras (biographies of Urdu poets). The writer claims that this article is the first of its kind, with detailed exposition and lot of examples.
