Intazar Hussain is considered an eminent short story writer among
symbolic short story writers. He has extracted valuable symbols and
metaphors from ancient stories, fables religious tradition and ancient
mythological tales; he has elaborated destructive economic issues of present
era, the tragedies of society, hollowness of humanity and moral and
spiritual problems in a very effective way.Our external world of today is
progressing rapidly for material prosperity. In this voyage a man of today
has lost its true treasure of completion unconsciously. A man of present era
is a victim of self deception and depression. Emotional and psychological
issues, spiritual hollowness, external disintegration and confusion are
growing and the basic reason of all these problems and tragedies is financial
and social disorder. Capitalism has set such a state of greed, avarice and
materialism that has effected the entire status of society on the
whole.Intazar Hussain has disclosed these matters symbolically in his
different short stories in very sublime way.
