Abstract
A rare edition of Wajid Ali Shah’s maṡnavī titled Daryā-i Ta‘ashuq is present in the Heidelberg University in Germany. This text was published by the Naval Kishore Press in 1885. This article presents a comparison of the various editions of the maṡnavī and highlights the motives behind differences in the original and edited editions. It also presents a concise critique of this form.
